History of GVSU Enrollment and Degrees Awarded
Full Year Equated Students (FYES) is a measure used by the State of Michigan to standardize enrollment counts across varying levels, intensities, and academic calendars. One FYES represent the enrollment that would be expected for one full-time student over a full academic year. The current calculation is: [Total FYES] = [undergraduate credits]/30 + [master's-level credits]/24 + [doctoral semesters]/2.
